DAS approved course

The Leicester "Difficult Airway Day” is held annually on the 3rd Thursday in June since 2001, and attended by up to 64 delegates (trainees and career grade anaesthetists from all over the U.K. and some from abroad).The current format is one lecture followed by 12 hands on workshop stations. Funds raised are used to buy training equipments and to sponsor interested trainees from Leicester to attend and present at DAS annual scientific meetings.

  • Aintree Intubating Catheter (AIC) and supraglottic devices
  • Double lumen tube 
  • Optimising position for laryngoscopy
  • Video Laryngoscopes 
  • Front of neck (FON) access to the airway (needle and surgical)
