A hands-on one day coursecovering all aspects of front of neck access in both the emergency and elective settings, taught by a multidisciplinary team of experts
Includes:
Extensive wet lab with sheep larynxes including:
- Scalpel/bougie technique
- Surgical techniques
- Wire-guided devices
- Needle cricothyroidotomy
Also:
- Ultrasound imaging of the airway
- THRIVE/Optiflow demonstration
- CICV simulation scenario
- Lectures by the experts
- Case based discussions
Approved by RCOA for 5 CPD points
