I am the airway lead at King's College Hospital, London.
My trust is unhappy about the way reusable Macintosh laryngoscpe handles are beeing cleaned and wiped with Tristel.
What isthe advice from  DAS to set  the best paratice on this matter?

Dear Jaydasan
Thank you for your enquiry.
Laryngoscope handles are a significant source of cross contamination and are ideally disposed off after use. Reusable handles cleaned manually can still carry residual debris because of performance variability of individuals carrying out the cleaning. We recommend that the laryngoscope handles are best disposed off and are single use.
There is considerable evidence to support this recommendation.

Hi Krish,
I always have this dilemma about documenting the view of VL. Is there a more accepted way of documentation?
I document which VL was used , size of the blade and view .. is that sufficient ?
