DAS Difficult Airway Registry

The DAS Difficult Airway Registry (DAR) Project is a streamlined national airway alert reporting system. Further information on the project and how to enrol your organisation can be found below.

We moved to a new platform (Amplitude) in December 2024 which is more secure and user friendly than the previous one. Logins for the platform were sent out to all enrolled organisations and delegates.

The DAS Difficult Airway Registry is now open to both NHS and private* hospitals.

DAS Difficult Airway Registry User Guide

There are two types of users – a pathway owner – usually the Airway Lead or DAS Registry Lead for a Hospital or Trust or Board.

The pathway owner can add colleagues in their department to the Registry as delegates. The pathway owner is responsible for maintaining their organisation’s delegate list (for example, updating the list to reflect current rotational resident doctors). Please use this Template for sending the required information to the Amplitude Customer Support Team.

If you were previously registered with the DAS Database, you should have received a link to update your details on the Amplitude platform either as a pathway owner or delegate.

If you cannot locate this email, or if you are a new user, please contact the Amplitude Customer Service Team at  [email protected]

  • To register as a Pathway Owner (usually the Local Airway Lead), please include your First Name, Last Name, GMC Number and Place of Work.
  • To register as a Delegate, please include your First Name, Last Name, GMC Number and Place of Work as well as the name of your Local Airway Lead (or Pathway Owner).

You can also call the Amplitude Customer Service Team if you require support during office hours on 0333 014 6363
