Northumbria Airway Workshop (NAW)

This course is for all grades of anaesthetists and is accredited for 10 CPD points.

This 2 day course held at North Tyneside General Hospital is aimed at anaesthetists of all grades.

The FIRST DAY will consist of lectures in the morning. In the afternoon delegates will learn and practice awake fibreoptic intubation on a manikin & through the oral & nasal route, the ILMA and LMA.
On the SECOND DAY delegates will perform one fibreoptic intubation on an anaesthetised patient under supervision. Delegates will also have the opportunity to use other difficult airway management devices on mannequins e.g. Aintree Catheter, ILMA, Glidescope,
C-Trach, AirTraq, McGrath scope etc. There will be a station devoted to cricothyroidotomy.
