King's College Hospital Difficult Airway Workshop
Details
This one day course is aimed at Anaesthetists of all grades and is accredited for 5 CPD points.
The workshop consist of 10 stations and is designed to teach, or refresh your experience in, using basic and advanced equipment in the management of anticipated and unexpected difficult intubation.
Stations are mainly designed for hands-on practice and include:
- Oral and nasal fibreoptic intubation
- Intubation through LMA, ILMA and Proseal
- Trans- tracheal Jet ventilation
- Cricothyrodotomy on mannequin and on pig's trachea
- C-trach, Air-Traq and Video laryngoscope
- Paediatric airway
- SimMan simulation
- Oxford box and DAS Algorithm
