Details
Six one day simulator based courses dealing with technical skills, Human behaviours and Non-technical skills (Human factors) in airway management.
A one day course for “those who work together” in operating theatre environment. This course is aimed at anaesthetists and their theatre team members (i.e. ODP/anaesthetic nurse/anaesthetic practitioner/theatre/recovery staff) to train together as a team.
Learn the role of technical and non technical skills (Human Factors) in airway crisis management
The course includes group play, scenario practice and critique from experts in airway management and aviation industry.
This course aims to highlight importance of
- Human factors in crisis management
- Leadership, communication and hierarchical barriers
- Situational awareness and decision making
- Briefing and debriefing skills
- Risk management, avoidance and planning
Places are limited. Priority will be given to those who register as a team (Anaesthetist with theatre staff) from individual NHS Trust. However, individual anaesthetists and theatre team members are welcome to apply.
